The City of Edinburgh Scout Area is based in Scotland's Capital City, Edinburgh, which is on the east coast of Scotland, on the south bank of the Firth of Forth.
	The Area mainly consists of the parts of Edinburgh enclosed by the City Bypass (A720), but also contains an area to the west which goes as far as South Queensferry on the shoreline to Balerno and the Pentlands to the south.
